Each player begins their turn by drawing a card from the Draw Pile. A player may do one or more of the following: (1) Do nothing, and pass; (2) Play an action card, such as trading a card with another player; (3) Expose a scandal; (4) Discard a card if necessary; or (5) Add a card to the Chump Change Pile.
To play an action card, first add the card to the Played Action Pile, and then carry out the card's instructions.
Use this pile to discard unplayed cards. At the end of a turn, all players must hold 5 or fewer cards in their hand, so some cards may need to be discarded. Cards may also be discarded here in the event of a Chump Attack.
If a Chump Attack card is drawn, immediately add it to this pile. If the player drawing an Attack card holds a Block card, they can block the attack by adding their Block card to this pile as well. If they cannot block, players must add cards to the Discard Pile as instructed.
The Chump Change Pile collects "extra" Expose cards. Each scandal has 4 Expose cards associated with it. However, 2 scandals require only 2 Expose cards, and 2 scandals requires only 3 Expose cards. This means there are 6 extra Expose cards in the deck. Discard extra Expose cards here, and turn any three cards into a wild card of your choice.
